Crowns fell
crashing kingdoms
sharps spears of light
piercing canopies once
crested in Autumn gems
armies of marauders
raining shit from the sky
a blackened landscape as the legions
left the winter trenches and ripped through
our countryside
and the artillery bore down
ash fell
great columns in the sky
collapsing to the ground
Lymantria dispar dispar, and
Agrilus planipennis
Conquerers, destroyers
laying my wood
bare
