Hey some questions on writing the assessment section of your lesson plans:
Your assessment should do a few things:
First it must measure your stated objective
Second the assessment must cover the key content of the lesson
Third it must be sensitive enough elicit evidence of knowledge growth in students.
Fourth if you use a performance assessment there should be a rubric with criteria that do not overlap. If you use scale descriptors these must have clear key levers in their scale.

Quick tip 4 writing objectives: SWBAT understand X...usually not needed especially if you also say students will write X, can measure their writing to gauge understanding but measuring understanding hard

Congrats college & career ready to read literature from four corners of page..yes we had to compare texts in 4th & 8th grade but hope you didn't venture far from corners Atleast we know you read the "Bard"

11/12 text structure to find how author plays on tragedy. Code for "Shakespeare"...remember snuck in 7th (sonnet) becuase "shared culture" and all; in fact Shakspeare and founding docs only required texts

Then 9/10th analyssis of text structure only revolves around author's manipulation of time to study mystery and suspense..cuz you know 3rd graders can't understand flashback CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.9-10.5
